Reportedly, inmates have told investigators that Hernandez was high on K2, which is also know as "Spice."
Daily Mail reports, that the synthetic marijuana is the same drug Hernandez was smoking the night of the murders he was convicted of.
Although the chemical composition of the drug varies, it's been linked to psychotic episodes, collapses and seizures among users.
Users who take the drug are often times docile but there are occasions where the drug can cause erratic behavior, hallucinations and more. Just check out the video below, which shows a K2 users falling out and hallucinating after smoking a particularly potent batch of K2.
According to the YouTube video, the guy was able to shake off the effects right before the police arrived, and got away on a city bus.prevnext
The other detail recently discovered is that Hernandez wrote a popular bible verse on his forehead using a red marker before committing suicide in his Massachusetts jail cell.
The disgraced ex NFL star reportedly scrawled the verse "John 3:16," which reads: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Hernandez also left a Bible in his cell on to that verse, according to CBS Boston. The verse has been referred to as "The Gospel in a Nutshell."
Hernandez was quite religious, Gators head coach Urban Meyer would read Bible passages with Hernandez at 7:30 a.m. every day in his office.0comments
The football player also got religious tattoos, God's hands, sunlight streaming from Heaven and Jesus's hands on the cross, that would later be joined by the Bloods tattoo he picked up in prison.
