Leslie Odom Jr. announced Monday that he is expecting his first child with wife Nicolette Robinson, E! News reports.
Odom Jr., who originated the role of Aaron Burr in the smash Broadway musical Hamilton, a role for which he won a Tony Award, shared the exciting news to Instagram with a snap of a Polaroid photo of himself and Robinson posing underneath gold balloons that spell out, "Baby."
"Little one, you're on our mind all the time," he captioned the photo. "Keep eating and growing! We love you and we're already so proud of you! Love, your mom and dad."
Robinson also shared her own Polaroid photo to the social media platform, writing, "One of the greatest gifts we could ever ask for. Leslie and I are so excited to share the news that we have a sweet baby on the way."
Odom Jr. took his final bow as Burr back in July, and had previously announced that he would be leaving Hamilton in a Facebook Live stream.
"I am indeed leaving on July 9. It has just been the most completely wonderful, totally healing, and inspiring experience from beginning to end," he said in the video. "I will never forget the people that I've met here. I'll never forget all of you."
"I'm excited to have a blank page," he added, "and I'm excited to go out and find something new."
