Country singer Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, are a ridiculously cute couple, and the pair doubled their adorable factor with their recent announcement that Akins is pregnant and the couple will be adopting a baby from Africa.
The pair shared that they were planning on waiting until they adopted to conceive a child of their own, but the timing just so happened to line up and now Rhett and Akins are expecting two babies!

The couple shared their baby news with this adorable photo on both of their Instagram pages Wednesday.
"Our hearts are exploding with happiness for y'all to meet our new baby who we are bringing home from Africa soon who is also going to have a little brother or sister because, SURPRISE! there's a sweet baby in my belly too," Akins wrote. "Safe to say life is about to get crazy!" Rhett added.

Rhett and Akins have known each other since they were kids growing up in Georgia, and married in 2012.

Akins often shares photos of her work with Haitian orphans on her social media accounts, and she and Rhett raised $250,000 for the organization 147 Million Orphans last fall.

On Thursday, Rhett teased his fans with this clip of himself and Akins heading home from an ultrasound where they discovered the gender of their baby.

Akins teased the gender on Instagram Saturday afternoon with an ombre cake of blue and pink by Nashville's own Crumb de la Crumb, decorated with a crescent moon and stars, accompanied by the lyric, "Twinkle, twinkle, little star."
