Tea bags: Take two used black or green teabags and place in the fridge for 30-40 minutes. Once cooled, take out and place the cold, damp teabags on your eyes (making sure that it covers the dark circles). Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Remove the tea bags and wash face with normal water. Repeat once or twice a day on a regular basis to minimize and diminish dark circles.

DIY TREATMENTS

If you are not interested in purchasing specific products, check out these at-home treatments you can do yourself!

Tomatoes and lemons: Squeeze the juice from a tomato and a lemon into a bowl and mix well. Apply mixture carefully under your eyes before you wash your face. For best results, leave on for an hour and then rinse off.

Almond oil and lemon juice: For this recipe, you will need one tablespoon of almond oil and one teaspoon of lemon juice. For 10 minutes, alternatively apply hot and cold compresses under the eyes. Once finished, mix one tablespoon of almond oil with one teaspoon of lemon juice and apply directly under the eyes before bed.

Potato, honey and olive oil: Peel a small or medium-sized potato and finely grate it. Mix the grated potato with one tablespoon of honey and enough olive oil to keep the mixture looking like a paste. Apply this under your eyes and leave on for a half an hour. Wash with warm water and pat skin dry. This mask will fade dark circles and bags under the eyes and is recommended to be used about twice a week.

Cucumbers and lemon juice: Cucumbers to wonderful things for your skin such as clean complexion, reduce inflammation, relaxes swelling, closes pores and diminish dark circles. For this recipe, you'll need half of a large cucumber and juice from half of a lemon. Grate the cucumber to get the juice out of it and refrigerate the liquid for an hour. Add the lemon juice (from half of a lemon) to the cooled cucumber juice. Soak two cotton pads un the mixture and apply them on your eyes. Leave on for 15 minutes and enjoy!

Want something fast, convenient and little to no prep work? Try out some of these remedies!

Mint leaves: Mint has a cooling effect on the skin, which naturally removes dark circles. For this remedy, take a few fresh mint leaves and crush them gently (but not to make it a paste). Take the crushed leaves and place around your closed eyes. Let them sit on your skin for 5-10 minutes and wipe it with a clean and cold washcloth. Do this as regularly as you want in order to reduce dark circles.
