Laura Lea Bryant knows one of the secrets to true happiness: eating REAL food.

And luckily for us, she's dying to share her secret with everyone.

Nashville native Laura Lea Bryant is a Certified Holistic Chef, food writer, recipe developer and all-around fabulous Womanista with a passion for healthful cooking.

Her goal is simple: to show us how to enjoy nutritious food without feeling deprived. And through her popular website, LLBalanced.com, she demonstrates affordable, comforting, make-ahead meals that are not only insanely delicious but also packed with loads of feel-good nutrients to nourish your body and soul.

Bryant's culinary journey began while living in the fast lane of New York City, where due to the surplus of pre-packaged foods and a lifestyle that moved entirely too quickly, she realized her desire for healthy cooking and consulting would be best rooted in her hometown of Nashville.

After completing a stint at the Natural Gourmet Institute, where she was educated on the vital relationship between food and healing, she headed back to her old stomping grounds to start changing the way this city eats.

Now, you can find her crafting easy, family-friendly meals and then breaking it all down step-by-step for readers to replicate for their own families.

She specializes in taking beloved Southern classics and, through the use of unique and wholesome ingredient swaps, turning them into healthier versions you can still fully enjoy with a clean conscience.

Her drool-worthy Instagram account boasts gorgeous photos of her delectable baked goods, protein-packed veggie burgers, vibrant green smoothies and so much more.

In Bryant's world, there's something for everyone. For the moms desperate to find healthier summer snacks for their little ones, Bryant gives you her 3-ingredient Watermelon popsicles. For the wives looking to make husband-approved dinners for their men (with man-sized appetites), she gives you her Tempeh Sloppy Joes.

Bryant truly epitomizes the Womanista mentality in her efforts to create recipes that inspire and impact women everywhere; from helping achieve weight-loss goals to improving relationships, her insightful blog posts hit on every aspect of what it's like to be a real woman (with a real appetite!) who wants the best for her body.
