Over the past couple years, several members of the cast of 1985's GooniesCorey Feldman ("Dream a Little Dream"), Josh Brolin ("Guardians of the Galaxy"), and Sean Astin ("The Lord of the Rings") — have expressed interest in reprising their roles in a much-rumored sequel, and in just the past year, Astin has boldly claimed that a sequel is a "lock" to happen. Goonies never say die!

On Friday, while appearing as a special guest at Phoenix Comicon 2016, Astin once again said Goonies 2 will happen, but this time, he revealed that the sequel will include another appearance from the famous one-eyed pirate.

"In the original Goonies, it's not the only time Mikey will come face-to-face with One-Eyed Willy," Austin revealed to the crowd (watch in the video above).

In the film, One-Eyed Willy was a 17th century pirate who, along with his crew and boat, which was filled with stolen treasure, got trapped in a cave in Astoria, Oregon. To guard his treasure, Willy setup elaborate booby traps.

The combined talents of two of today's most prominent filmmakers - Academy Award, Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Steven Spielberg ("Munich," "War of the Worlds") and Richard Donner ("16 Blocks," "Lethal Weapon") -- created this box office hit that delights the young and the young at heart. When a group of ordinary kids discover a secret treasure map, their sleepy seaport lives are suddenly transformed into a fun-filled, roller-coaster ride filled with heart-pounding adventure and peril. Starring Academy Award-nominee Sean Astin ("The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "50 First Dates"), Emmy-winner Joe Pantoliano (TV's "The Soprano's," "The Matrix"), Academy Award-nominee Anne Ramsey ("Throw Mamma From the Train," "Scrooged"), Emmy-nominee Martha Plimpton ("Running on Empty," "Parenthood"), Corey Feldman ("The Lost Boys," "Stand By Me"), Kerri Green ("Lucas," "Summer Rental"), Josh Brolin ("Into the Blue," "Hollow Man") and Robert Davi ("Hot Chick," "Die Hard").
