Julianne Hough married NHL player Brooks Laich in a stunning ceremony on Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on July 8, and the Dancing With the Stars judge and her husband have both since taken to social media to open up about their special day.

The weekend finally arrived- And it was MAGICAL!!! The weekend my best friend, my love of my life, and my new husband @brookslaich and I brought our family and closest friends together to have fun, encourage love, and celebrate our marriage! I'm so grateful I get to spend forever with this incredibly kind, thoughtful, strong and adventurous man. I'm the luckiest woman in the world to be your wife! It was truly the most special time in our lives and because we believe so much in putting love out into the world to help inspire and encourage others, we have decided to share our special day with all of you. "The weekend finally arrived- And it was MAGICAL!!! Hough wrote alongside a photo from the pair's reception.

"I'm so grateful I get to spend forever with this incredibly kind, thoughtful, strong and adventurous man. I'm the luckiest woman in the world to be your wife!"

Laich also shared the same photo on Instagram, writing, "This past weekend was the best time of my life as I got to marry my best friend [Julianne Hough]!! I am eternally grateful for her kindness and love, and truly feel like the luckiest man in the world!"

The dancer told PEOPLE that she and Laich had their hearts set on tying the knot on the lake, where Hough spent summers growing up.

"When I introduced Brooks to the lake, he fell in love with this special spot, and we knew this was where we wanted to raise our family and grow old together," she said. "It just felt right to be married here."

People also shared video of the pair's weekend on Twitter, and it's safe to say Laich's reaction when he saw his bride in her wedding gown is pure sweetness.

Hough called her wedding weekend "perfection."

"I don't think I ever really necessarily dreamed about my wedding as a kid," she said. "But I know I will always cherish and remember it for the rest of my life."
