After going from 460 pounds to a size four, America is about to see a whole lot more of Mama June Shannon. Shannon's WE tv series, "Mama June: From Not to Hot" has been renewed for a second season.
Not only will season two of "From Not to Hot" (which will premiere in early 2018) continue to document Shannon's weight loss journey — it will also explore her foray into adult beauty pageants. It's an ironic change in events, since Shannon's daughter Alana, a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo, originally brought fame to their family during her child beauty pageant days.
The mom of four showcased her 300-pound weight loss on the reality series this spring after undergoing a gastric sleeve weight loss surgery in 2015. Viewers watched as she completely changed her diet and exercise habits to see dramatic weight loss results.
The 37-year-old debuted her highly anticipated new figure in March of 2017 on the show's season finale — a result of her weight loss surgery, a breast augmentation and two surgeries to get rid of extra skin on her arms and her stomach.
Shannon will also soon become a grandmother for the first time, as her 17-year-old daughter, Pumpkin, announced on Monday that she is expecting a baby.
"Hey guys, guess what? I'm pregnant!" Pumpkin announced in a video message. "I don't know what I'm having yet, but if I had to bet because of all the girls in our family, I'm probably having a girl. Can you imagine another little f--king me running around? You guys are going to be f--ked!"
Pumpkin also dished on how she thinks Shannon is going to be as a grandmother to her child.
"I think Mama will be an all right grandma," she said. "I mean, she can't really see, but she'll do good."
With the news of Pumpkin's pregnancy and Shannon's continued weight loss endeavors, season two of "From Not to Hot" is sure to be a good one. Take a look back at Shannon's journey from 460 pounds to a size 4.

Mama June had a good reason for losing the weight
Shannon admits that she began her weight loss journey to make her ex-husband jealous, but as she began seeing results realized it was important to set a good example for her daughters.
"My goal when I first started this weight loss journey was to make Sugar Bear kind of jealous. But it's no longer about revenge," Shannon said in a confessional on "From Not to Hot". "Doing all the surgeries really took a toll on me — not just physically, but emotionally."
She told Wendy Williams during her appearance in April on "The Wendy Williams Show" that she had to reassess her obsession with the scale for fear of affecting her daughters' self esteem.
"For me, throughout the years, I've been able to drop the weight," she said. "But maintaining it… I guess I became what you call a 'scale whore,' because I was constantly kind of beating myself up... I hate to say it, but Alana kind of started to be like that. I had to back off the scale, because she's been kind of looking [at the scale, too]."prevnext
How Mama June lost the weight
E! News reports that Shannon spent well over $75,000 to have gastric sleeve surgery, a breast augmentation and skin removal surgery on her stomach, "bat wings," and "turkey neck."

Shannon revealed another motivating factor aside from weight loss to clean up her diet in an interview with PEOPLE Now. She revealed a harrowing experience in which her daughter, Pumpkin suffered a brain injury after the family got into a car crash in 2014, and was told by the neurologist she could no longer drink soda.0comments
"I was drinking three to four Code Reds a day, and I just went cold turkey that day," Shannon said.
Her daughters revealed that they don't keep junk food in the house. While everyone in the family splurges occasionally, for the most part they stick to a clean-eating diet with a focus on vegetables.prev
