Today, Prince Harry showed the world that he's not just a member of the royal family, but he's also quite the businessman that knows how to close a deal! In honor of those who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centers in New York City during 2001, the Duke of Sussex attended the 15th annual BGC Charity Day at Canary Wharf in London to help raise thousands of dollars for charity. The annual event takes place on the anniversary of Sept. 11, and has for the last 15 years, commemorated the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald and the 61 EuroBrokers employees who lost their lives during the attack.
As the guest of honor, the prince answered phones and put his skills to the test when he closed a government bond worth $1.25 billion dollars!
Some of the funds that were raised went towards Harry's Invictus Games Foundation, which is an organization that allows veterans to compete in sports for charity.

The prince also had the honor of meeting a few former international Invictus Games members before closing his big deal.

I am posting this at 8:46 AM - the exact time that the first tower was hit 18 years ago today. 2,977 people killed, more than 6,000 people injured. Countless families ripped apart, too many broken hearts to imagine. A country forever changed. Remembering those we lost on 9/11, and keeping those they loved and who loved them in my thoughts and in my heart. I will always remember. I will #neverforget 🇺🇸💔
Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst, shared her memory of being in school when she and her classmates first got the news.

Eighteen years ago today I walked in a single file line with my fifth grade class, exiting our elementary school in Charlotte, NC. I didn’t understand why we were being evacuated but I’d heard a rumor from one of my classmates that someone lit a match in one of the school bathrooms. It took a while before we were allowed to go back inside and I remember seeing teachers crying while we walked back into the school. My teacher told my class that the school day would be ending early and our parents would be picking us up. . My mom explained to me in the car the true reason for the cautionary evacuation and even then I couldn’t fully understand the gravity of the attack. I just felt a deep sadness and helplessness. I felt the same sorrow again when I visited a fire station in the Bronx recently and saw a flag memorial painted in the stairwell. It was dedicated to the firefighters who passed away while bravely climbing stairwells to rescue people who needed help. . Today I am grateful for the courage of the first responders who put the safety of others before their own on September 11, 2001. What was a horrific tragedy on this day nearly two decades ago was also a day when our country played witness to the selflessness within all of us. Some made the ultimate sacrifice while others lent a helping hand by consoling those who lost loved ones, opening their homes to the stranded whose flights were grounded for days, or spending hours, days, or weeks searching the rubble of the buildings in NYC that were destroyed. Each day is a blessing and this one I’ll spend honoring the memories of those we’ve lost. #AlwaysRemember #NeverForget
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow also took time to ask his fans to remember those who lost their lives, along with their family members.
