Nicolas Cage is setting the Internet ablaze after a new photo of him surfaced in bizarre grab and sporting an uncomfortable facial expression. The 53-year-old Hollywood superstar is reportedly attending the 13th Eurasia international film festival, and his getup for the event has Twitter in an uproar.

The image shows the National Treasure star wearing a traditional Kazakh outfit complete with a bulky coat that featured intricate gold designs on the sleeves and along the trimming. He paired the coat with a matching fur hat.

While Cage's outfit was particularly eye-catching, many Twitter users made note of the actor's deer-in-the-headlights look as he posed for the picture.

"He looks like he was just teleported into this body a la Quantum Leap and is figuring out who and where he is," one user wrote.

Some users pointed out that the Oscar winner's stylistic choices, pointing out that Cage was wearing the fur-lined coat and suit along with a pair of tennis shoes.

"Is no one gonna address the fact that he's wearing trainers with this suit?" one person commented.

Another user lumped Cage into a category with President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Pope Francis by posting a photoshopped pic of them together.

"Nic Cage in Kazakhstan added to the photo of 'People who don't know WTH they're doing there,'" the Twitter user wrote.

The Eurasia international film festival is set to run for the next week and is being held with the intention to foster collaborations between central Asian filmmakers and the entertainment community in the rest of the world, according to The Guardian.
