LL Cool J has sounded off on the viral video going around of former co-star Maia Campbell. In the clip, a woman identified as Campbell is seen in a bra and underwear at an Atlanta gas station acting irrationally and asking for crack.

Cool J and Campbell both appeared on the NBC/UPN sitcom In the House from 1995-1998. Campbell has had previous struggles with addiction that have derailed her career. She hasn't appeared in an original role since 2007 and once appeared on a celebrity life coaching show to seek help getting her life back on track.

The video, if depicting Campbell, shows the actress relapsing and in far from good shape. Cool J saw the clip and was immediately concerned. As pointed out by PEOPLE, he posted a now-deleted plea for someone to help him contact Campbell and shared his frustration at the man who filmed the encounter.

On Monday he tweeted, "Instead of pulling out your phone and filming someone who's obviously having trouble. Maybe lend a helping hand? A kind word?"

However, it appears Cool J's concern for Campbell turned into disappointment.

Based on a later tweet, it appears the NCIS: Los Angeles actor may have got into contact with Campbell or made an honest attempt to. However, the tone of the message seemed to indicate it did not go well.

"You can't help someone who doesn't want your help," he tweeted without context.

Aside from NCIS: Los Angeles, Cool J is also currently hosting Lip Sync Battle on Spike. His acting keeps him away from creating new music, but he did release one single recently. His latest single was 2016' s "You Already," a collaboration with Troy Ave.
