Anne Hathaway posted a picture of homemade cut-off jean shorts and shared the thoughts her DIY project inspired.

The new mom got candid about her post-baby body in the post, admitting her body had changed and reminding others that this natural difference is nothing to be ashamed of.

"There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever)," she wrote. "There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all). There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer's are just too dang short for this summer's thighs. Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It's all love (don't let anyone tell you otherwise.) Peace xx #noshame #lovewhatyouhavebeengiven."

In a society that seems to be fixated on women, and especially celebrities, "bouncing back" from having a baby, it is refreshing to see a new mom take control of the conversation and inspire some positivity and confidence in others.

Plus, these shorts look like a perfect Pinterest project to add to the list.
