Rawson Thurber, Adam McKay and Ruben Fleischer are being considered to replace Edgar Wright as director of Marvel's Ant-Man film, according to the Hollywood Reporter. This list seems to suggest that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios is still looking to infuse Ant-Man with a comedic tone. Thurber is known for comedies like We're the Millers and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. McKay has worked with the star of the film, Paul Rudd, on the Anchorman films. Fleischer hasn't done work that fits perfectly in the comedy genre, but did direct the lighthearted zombie flick Zombieland. McKay may seem to have an advantage over the others, given his history with Rudd, but he has a pretty packed schedule as a producer for Gary Sanchez Productions and Gloria Sanchez Productions. Thurber is a hot talent following the breakout success he had with We're the Millers and is already meeting with Disney to discuss directing Overnight. The short list is also said to include Warm Bodies director Jonathan Levine, as well as others, but no decisions have been made as of yet. Marvel seems to be working fast in order to stick to Ant-Man's July 17, 2015 release date.
