Mark Wahlberg is host of the 27th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, which are set to take place tonight at University of Southern California's Galen Center in Los Angeles. There are a number of nominees up for awards that should be of interest to comic book fans. In the Favorite TV Show category, The Big Bang Theory is facing off against Good Luck Charlie, Jessie, and Sam & Cat. In the Favorite Cartoon category, Adventure Time, Phineas and Ferb, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are all nominated. In the Favorite Movie category, Iron Man 3 is taking on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Oz the Great and Powerful, and The Smurfs 2. In the Favorite Movie Actor category, Iron Man 3's Robert Downey Jr. is nominated, alongside Johnny Depp, Neil Patrick Harris, and Adam Sandler. In the Favorite Animated Movie category, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Despicable Me 2, Frozen, and Monsters University are all nominated. Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove, Billy Crystal, and Katy Perry all scored nominations in the Favorite Voice from and Animated Movie category. In the Favorite Male Buttkicker category, Johnny Depp (The Lone Ranger), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man 3), Hugh Jackman (The Wolverine), and Dwayne Johnson (Fast & Furious 6) are all nominated. In the Favorite Female Buttkicker category, Sandra Bullock (Gravity), Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Evangeline Lilly (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), and Jena Malone (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) are all nominated. The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting is nominated for Favorite Funny Star, alongside Kevin hart, Andy Samberg, and Sofia Vergara. Favorite Animated Animal Sidekick nominees are Patrick Star (SpongeBob SquarePants), Perry the Platypus (Phineas and Ferb), Sparky (Fairly Odd Parents), and Waddles (Gravity Falls). The 2014 Kids' Choice Awards air on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 8 PM ET on Nickelodeon.
