Death Waltz Recording Company, a record printer and music distributor famous for its reissues of famous horror movie soundtracks, announced today that they will be releasing two new LPs comprising the soundtracks to David Lynch's TV classic Twin Peaks and its prequel/companion film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. No release date has yet been set, but Boomstick Comics reports that the LPs will feature cover art approved by David Lynch, while the vinyl itself will have different color schemes. Spencer Hickman, the head honcho over at Death Waltz discussed this announcement on a vinyl-enthusiasts forum and said that one record will be cherry colored, while the other one will be coffee colored--in reference to the "damn fine" coffee and cherry pie served in Twin Peaks. They must have missed the part where Agent Cooper likes his coffee "black as midnight on a moonless night," though. No special coloring needed. Angelo Badalamenti's cool score came out in 1990 from Warner Bros., but has not been re-issued since (although it's available on iTunes). Neither has the soundtrack to the film.
