director Alan Taylor, speaking with Empire Online at the D23 Expo this weekend, seems to have confirmed a long-standing rumor: That, like Iron Man 3, this film will carry a body count with it. Now, that's a far cry from confirming some of the more...specific...iterations of that same rumor, naming those to be killed--but it's likely to get tongues wagging and to validate fans who have their suspicions already locked in. "I realized recently that I am the grim reaper," said Taylor. "People hate me because I killed Ned Stark on [Game of Thrones]. But I also killed Caesar in Rome, Wild Bill Hickock in Deadwood and Christopher in The Sopranos. I just get called in to murder people's favorite characters, so I'm surprised Thor survived this one. There are a few people who don't make it out alive here. There could be some surprises!" Of course, there's always a chance that--again, like Iron Man 3--the death toll will only be secondary and tertiary characters (primarily villains) that no one much will miss. We'll have to see in November.
