Amazing Spider-Man 2: Green Goblin To Be Played By Chris Cooper

Chris Cooper Green GoblinAmazing Spider-Man 2 certainly seems to be loading up on the villains. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Chris Cooper has joined the Amazing Spider-Man 2 cast and will be playing the role of Norman Osborn, who becomes the Green Goblin. Chris Cooper will be joining Paul Giamatti who is playing The Rhino and Jamie Foxx who is playing Electro. While The Hollywood Reporter is reporting Chris Cooper as Green Goblin, they say they are not sure if he will actually appear as the Green Goblin in the film or just as Norman Osborn. With Electro and The Rhino already serving as villains, we would speculate that Chris Cooper might play a more behind the scenes role as Norman Osborn and emerge as the Green Goblin in Amazing Spider-Man 3. Then again, maybe it could be an all out supervillain battle for Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man 2. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released in movie theaters in the United States on May 2,  2014.
