A Good Day To Die Hard

In spite of scathing reviews and stiff Valentine's Day competition from Nicholas Sparks's Safe Haven, it looks like A Good Day to Die Hard will bring in just shy of $30 million over the four-day weekend, taking the top spot on the box office charts. Identity Thief, Warm Bodies and Escape From Planet Earth are expected to round out the top five. Deadline expects that the five-day total for A Good Day to Die Hard will be more than $37 million, compared to a bit under $35 million for the Josh Duhamel-driven drama from director Lasse Hallstrom. Beautiful Creatures, which also opened this week, is expected to make around $10 million at #6. That film, based on a young adult novel and drawing a lot of critical parallels to Twilight, also isn't laboring under the weight of particularly strong reviews.
