Chrissy's kept it honest since her pregnancy announcement.
John and Chrissy have been open in their struggle to conceive children since they announced their pregnancy nearly two years ago.
"As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now," Chrissy wrote in the Instagram announcement. "It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We're so excited that it's finally happening."

But DO NOT let her hear you ask this question.
The social superstar has also been outspoken about the pressures couples may feel to get pregnant and how hurtful it was when people would ask her when she and John would have children.
"John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it happened," she said in 2015. "It's kind of crazy, because I can't imagine being that nosy to be like, 'So, when are the kids coming?' Because who knows what somebody's going through? Anytime somebody asks if I'm going to have kids I'm just like, 'One day you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who is really struggling and it's going to be really hurtful to them, and I hate that. Stop asking me.'"
This interview happened a month before Teigen announced her pregnancy.
prevnextUnfortunately, people don't seem to get what IVF actually is.
When Chrissy announced her pregnancy in 2015, comments with questions and criticism flooded in. One 'fan' went as far as to ask if the couple ever "gave it a minute to try naturally," since they used IVF to conceive. Being the clapback queen she is, the mom-to-be put them in their place.
I did IVF. One at a time. It isn't twins. I can see the damn thing. Get out of my uterus!

John and Chrissy also got some flak for choosing the sex of their child, but she said it made sense for their family and that a boy would be in their future, too.
"I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me," she shared. "It excited me to see … just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond."

Now that the couple has daughter Luna, Chrissy continues to keep it real when it comes to mom life.
First, she admitted just how celebrity moms lose the baby weight so quickly and she's opened up about her struggle with postpartum depression.
"Before, when I entered a room I had a presence: head high, shoulders back, big smile," she told Glamour. "Suddenly I had become this person whose shoulders would cower underneath her chin. I would keep my hands on my belly and try to make myself as small as possible."
Four months later, Chrissy says she still struggles with the effects of PPD, but it won't get in the way of her hopes for a growing family.
"I would definitely adopt or have foster children," she said. "But I loved being pregnant. Maybe I should be scared [of having PPD again], but I don't know. It couldn't be any worse than it was — could it?"
