Iron Man Armor Suits We Could See in Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Infinity War is coming, and as with every new installment of Marvel's superhero team [...]
Marvel NOW! Armor
The Marvel NOW! Iron Man armor suit wasn't that different technologically speaking (it could turn to liquid metal), but its aesthetic is a definite departure from the Iron Man tradition.
Marvel fans have been asking for the Marvel NOW! Armor to appear in the MCU for some time; opening (or finishing) Avengers: Infinity War with Tony suited up in black and gold would be cool... and lucrative, on the merchandising side.
prevnextModel Prime
The Model-Prime armor has a scale-like design that uses advanced nanotech to reconfigure into whatever Iron Man may need: different armors (stealth, Hulkbuster), or a variety of tools or weapons. It has enhanced flight capability, a cerebral interface - and contains it all in a bracelet Stark wears.
After Age of Ultron and Civil War, Tony could use an upgrade, and the Model-Prime armor would be a fitting one for the big battle to come in Infinity War. With The Infinity Gauntlet allowing a user to control all of the multiverse with mere thought, Iron Man will need an armor that works just as fast.
prevnextBleeding Edge
The Bleeding Edge armor is basically an earlier version of the Model Prime concept, but its name rings out loud for Iron Man fans.
The Armor uses nanotech and is stored inside of Tony's bone marrow. It responds mentally to his commands, forming all sorts of weapons and devices, with an energy source that's basically a man made star. The Bleeding Edge armor was one of Tony's most powerful designs, allowing him to match up against opponents like Thor and Red Hulk.
With the name recognition and obvious power boosting features, the Bleeding Edge suit is a prime design that Infinity War could utilize.
prevnextSpace Travel
Avengers: Infinity War will be a cosmic battle, so we expect Tony to learn from his Avengers near death experience and suit up properly for some outer space travel.
It won't be the prettiest armor we've ever seen (if comic books are any indication); but a sequence of Iron Man speeding through deep space in his special suit, blasting AC/DC, is something that fans would love to see.
prevnextEndo-Sym
Since Infinity War will be taking us into cosmic battle that could rage across the multiverse, many Marvel fans see it as an opportunity to introduce some cosmic elements into the Avengers world. One idea is using the Infinity War as a way to introduce the symbiote race to the MCU; it makes sense for the Spider-Man franchise (Venom, Carnage) and also for Iron Man.
The Endo-Sym armor is another advanced version of the Bleeding Edge Armor, only it is based off of symbiote biology. It basically makes Tony a Venom/Iron Man hybrid, without the drawbacks of the symbiote (mind control, vulnerability to sonics).
If things are going to get weird in outer space, it would be cool to see Iron Man come home with the Endo-Sym armor - possibly with that iconic new black suit for Spider-Man.
prevnextUru Armor
During the Marvel Comics "Fear Itself" crossover event, Iron Man's Bleeding Edge suit got an Asgardian upgrade, as it was converted into Uru metal modeled after The Destroyer armor.
With Infinity War involving conflict of cosmic proportions, against enemies with cosmic powers, the Uru armor could be what Tony needs for the final battle. It would also be a great connective thread between the Thor and Iron Man franchises.
