Marvel Studios and Sony are going to great lengths to make sure that their newest take on Spider-Man hits just right, and to that end, they're not taking any chances when they don't have to, including when it comes to the musical score.

For their upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, the studios have announced that Michael Giacchino will be once again providing the score. Giacchino has been quite active lately and is coming off successful stints on Star Trek Beyond, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Marvel's own Doctor Strange. The announcement was made at a Spider-Man: Homecoming Q&A with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson (via MCUexchange).

Giacchino follows a list of talented composers in the Spider-Man franchise, as Danny Elfman worked on the first Spider-Man trilogy from Sam Raimi and James Horner worked on the second set of sequels from Marc Webb. His recent accompaniment to Doctor Strange is getting great reviews, so it's a safe bet that he'll do the same for Spider-Man.

Giacchino and Disney have established a great relationship thus far, as aside from the aforementioned films, his work can also be found in Toy Story of Terror, Inside Out, Tomorrowland, and their megahit Zootopia. He will reteam with Pixar yet again on the forthcoming Incredibles 2, and outside of Disney is working on the upcoming War for the Planet of the Apes.

The cast includes Tom Holland (Spider-Man/Peter Parker), Michael Keaton (Rumored: Vulture), Zendaya (Rumored Mary Jane Watson), Donald Glover (The Martian, Community), Jacob Batalon (North Woods), Laura Harrier (One Life to Live), Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Tyne Daly (Cagney and Lacey), Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), with Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, The Wrestler), and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, The Avengers). It also features Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Kenneth Choi (The People vs. O.J. Simpson), Michael Mando (Better Call Saul), Selenis Leyva (Orange is the New Black), Isabella Amara (The Boss), Jorge Lendeborg, Jr. (Graceland), JJ Totah (Liv and Maddie), and Hannibal Buress (30 Rock).

Spider-Man: Homecoming lands in theaters on July 7, 2017.
