They're back, chickenf***ers! The raunchy state troopers have officially began filming for Super Troopers 2, the follow-up to the cult-hit movie from 2001.

The news first broke on the Facebook page for Broken Lizard, the name of the comedy troupe responsible for the original film. The post shows a picture of the A-camera clapperboard with the name Super Troopers 2 as the film's title, and the name Jay Chandrasekhar was placed by the director's slot. The photo was shared with the caption: "Action, chickenf**kers: back on set and we just shot the first new scene of #SuperTroopers2."

The post has already received more than 30k likes and over 13k shares.

After starting an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for the film back in March, the comedy group soared past their $2 million goal by bringing in a total of $4.4 million in only 30 days. The team mentioned that the more money that people would donate, then the more that the production would have the budget to spend on "bigger stunts, bathrooms for the women on set (men will still have to use the woods), louder explosions, cameos from real Hollywood actors, more bearf*cking, and maybe Kate Upton."

The Broken Lizard team consists of Jay Chandrasekhar (Thorny), Steve Lemme (Mac), Erik Stolhanske (Rabbit), Kevin Heffernan (Farva), and Paul Soter (Foster). All the boys are coming back for the sequel as writers and stars of the film, according to Deadline.

When asked why there was such a long wait for the sequel, Chandrasekhar stated: "We've always wanted to make a sequel...but first, we also wanted to run from a killer on an island resort and chug beers against Germans. After that, we had to get permission from the studio, write an awesome script and then wait for lawyers to schedule a sh*tload of conference calls."

Super Troopers, directed by Jay Chandrasekhar, was released in February of 2002 after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001. The rights were acquired by Fox Searchlight for $2.5 million, and the movie would go on to bring in $18.5 million at the domestic box office.

The storyline revolved around five wild Vermont state troopers who found pleasure in pulling ridiculous pranks on the people that they would pull over.
