Roman Reigns just can't seem to catch a break in the eyes of WWE fans, and a new petition even takes his wrestling gear to task.

Back when Reigns was a part of The Shield alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, the group's gimmick was all black gear that included law enforcement styled vests and accessories. After Rollins betrayed the group, Ambrose and Rollins eventually traded in their Shield getups for new gear, but Reigns continued to wear a spiffed up version of his original outfit.

That includes a flack jacket type vest emblazoned with his logo, and Mike Huck has initiated a petition on Change.org that says his look is actually an unfair advantage (via CageSideSeats). Here is how the petition reads.

"Roman Reigns has been systematically breaking the rules of Admiral-Lord Mountevans Unified Rules of Professional Wrestling through the use of illegal body armor to protect himself during the course of matches with legitimately dressed competitors and has been doing so throughout his career.

We require swift action that prohibits the use of this body armor in all future WWE contests by Mr. Reigns and anyone else."

A couple of points of interest there. He's not actually wrong, as most wrestlers have to take their bumps on a nightly basis without any buffer between them and the mat, which isn't made out of memory foam by any means. That said, it's not like he's covered head to toe in 10 layers of Charmin either. Regardless of if he sports his vest or not, it doesn't mean hitting the mat from the top rope hurts significantly less.

The best part of the whole petition might just be who it will be delivered to if it is successful. The first three make total sense, as he listed Vince McMahon, Jack Tunney, and Mick Foley. Huck goes on to include names like John McCain and Barack Obama though, which seems like a bit of a reach.

Hopefully, the president has more important things to do than decide if Reigns is getting an unfair advantage in the ring. If he is indeed weighing in on WWE matters now, then maybe he can use an executive order to get Cesaro the proper push that fans have been waiting for all these years.

The petition sits at 3,257 supporters, and if you feel so inclined you can add your name to the list here.
