Sylvester Stallone Says He's Not Involved In Female Expendables Movie

The Expendables franchise didn't pull in as much money as other entries in the franchise, but it still left fans hopeful for the spinoff project, titled the Expendabelles.

Since the film was initially rumored, fans have eagerly compiled their dream wishlists for a number of actresses who could make up the team, but information has been slow to release, with some thinking it might have been shelved due to Expendables 3 less than desirable performance at the box office.

Even if the project is still active, Expendables leader Sylvester Stallone wants to make it clear he isn't involved. According to Deadline, the actor is a little weary of being connected to the long-gestating project and has made it clear that he is not now nor will be in the future involved with the film. At this point, he doesn't even seem to be sure if he's going to come back for a fourth Expendables film.

While he might not be a part of it, that doesn't mean fans want to see the project get made any less. There is no official cast attached to the movie yet, but hopefully, we'll hear something soon.

As for Expendables 3, the movie brought in only $39 million domestically but earned a nice payday overseas, with a worldwide total of $206 million by the end of its run.
