Shia LaBeouf has started his new performance art project, and this one is taking him across America.

In his newest project (via Yahoo.com), the Fury and Transformers star will be joining his regular collaborators Nastja Sade Ronkko and Luke Turner on a month-long hitchhiking experience called "Take Me Anywhere". The project was commissioned by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and The Finnish Institute of London as part of MediaLive 2016 and is being supported by Frame Contemporary Art Finland and Vice.

Here's how it works. During the month-long campaign, LaBeouf, Ronkko, and Turner will randomly tweet out their GPS location to Twitter with the hashtag #TakeMeAnywhere. At that point anyone can head to that location and pick them up, taking them anywhere they wish. The trip can be followed on Vice.com's page here.

It's an interesting campaign, and like most of their projects involves the group interacting heavily with a variety of people. The group has already been picked up a few times, and you can see their first interaction above, where three friends picked up the group and headed to Colorado's Oskar Blues Microbrewery.

This is just the latest in a line of performance art projects for the group. Before this they rode an Elevator at Oxford University for 24 hours, which was titled #Elevate, and before that the group completed their #TouchMySoul project, where they took calls from fans. He also streamed himself watching his movies in chronological order last year.
