Lego Star Wars Resistance Rises Spotlights Poe and C-3PO

If you took a poll from moviegoers and asked them what characters didn't get enough screen time during The Force Awakens, you would most likely come up with a list featuring characters like Poe Dameron, C-3PO, and Captain Phasma. For their newest Disney XD short, the folks at Disney and Lego listened it seems, and thus we get Poe to the Rescue.

The 6:46 minute short follows Poe Dameron as he rescues C-3PO and Admiral Akbar (complete with his famous quote). Along the way we get more BB-8 and some much needed screen time for Captain Phasma, though she does need a win at some point. Don't get me wrong, I love the potential of the character, but at this point she is starting to resemble a WWE jobber more than a powerful and to be feared villain.

Regardless of her winning average, the short has all the humor we've become accustomed to with Lego properties, complete with constant ribbing at C-3PO for constantly mentioning his new arm. I can't get enough of these, and while the full series will deal with events of the original trilogy (between Empire and Jedi), we still have a few more shorts set during the Force Awakens to look forward to.
