Elizabeth Olsen Says It's Silly to Say Supehero Movies are Going Away

Much has been made of whether or not superhero movies have a shelf life. It was Stephen Spielberg who really opened the floodgates when he said they'd go "the way of the western," which drew much contention and eventually led to him making a clarification statement.

"I'm having fun doing them and I'm also having a lot of fun doing other things as well. It's not a make-or-break thing but obviously I don't think they're going to go away," actress Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch for Marvel Studios, told USA Today. "I mean, they've been around my entire childhood and they go back to television shows in the '50s so that's just a silly thing to say."

She did note that it's been interesting to see how studio money gets distributed, "either they have $200 million or they have like $2 million," she said.

As for what superhero story she'd most like to adapt, Olsen said, "House of M. That's still all I want to do, I don't care." Of course, she acknowledges that it's virtually impossible, with the X-Men characters being at Fox while she and the Avengers are at Marvel Studios. "That would be so fun but obviously that would never happen."

Maybe it can be "No More Inhumans?"
