Contrary popular belief, Tom Hardy was not, in fact, born in the dark or molded by it. He was born in England in 1977!

Hardy has become an icon on the big screen in recent years. Known by the geek community for his role as Bane in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises and later this year's Mad Max: Fury Road, Hardy's career as an actor is quite an impressive one. The English actor broke out in 2010 with his role in Nolan's Inception, following a comedic part in This Means War alongside Chris Pine.
