Jackie Chan To Star in Action Movie The Foreigner

Karate Kid star Jackie Chan, 61, is in final negotiations with STX Entertainment to star in the action-thriller The Foreigner, according to Deadline.

STX is still looking for a director to helm the film, but are said to be eyeing Nick Cassavetes, who directed The Notebook and The Other Woman.

The film will be an adaptation of Stephen Leather's best-selling novel The Chinaman, which was published in 2008.

The book synopsis:

Jungle-skilled, silent and lethal, Nguyen Ngoc Minh had killed for the Viet Cong and then for the Americans. The Foreigner is expected to start filming this October.
