Dracula Untold Opening Night Box Office Is $1.3 Million

Dracula Untold brought in $1.3 million in late night showing on Thursday night.

With this decent start, analysts are expecting the first film in Universal's new shared monster movie universe to have an opening weekend gross of about $16-18 million.

Dracula Untold is an origin story for Vlad the Impaler, played by Luke Evans, who become the iconic vampire in order to defend his homeland and family.

The $70 miillion film also star Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, and Samantha Barks, and is directed by Gary Shore.

Dracula Untold opens wide today.
