Brock Lesnar has a fascinating relationship with WWE's fan base. Many can't stand his part time schedule, as they feel like he abuses his privileges as a star. Fans like to paint Lesnar as an aloof WWE employee who cares most about his dollar. Yet, every time he appears buildings explode with glee.

Why Lesnar owns such a double standard with the WWE Universe is hard to explain and we'll save that for another time. However, Samoa Joe has only unconditional support for the Beast Incarnate. Despite Lesnar's reputation to "use" WWE, Joe believes him to be one of the greatest minds in the industry. He spoke with The Mirror about how Brock adapted to him as their program picked up steam:

"Yeah, and it's also because Brock sees it that way. He knows what I'm capable of and what I can do in the ring. I think there is this false assumption that he's really tone-deaf to the rest of the world, when really he's probably, from what I've seen of how he has conducted himself, he is probably one of the most savvy businessmen in our industry, if not all combat sports. So he knew what he was getting into, who he was doing it with, and he understood the magnitude of what was going to go down and what kind of threat I presented to him. I think him being convinced if anything was what kind of lent more fire and hyper meaning to the match."

Brock was said to be very pleased with Joe in their match from Great Balls of Fire. The two did appear to have a natural, yet brutal chemistry. Their match just didn't impress the Beast, but his advocate.

A report by SI.com has Heyman lobbying for Brock Lesnar to lose his title at SummerSlam, but not in a predictable manner to Roman Reigns, but to Samoa Joe:

"The inside track is that none other than Paul Heyman is advocating behind-the-scenes for Samoa Joe to win the title, but the threat of Baron Corbin cashing in his non-specific Money in the Bank contract looms as a compelling finish to SummerSlam."

Heyman pulling for Joe adds a complicating layer to this Brock Lesnar saga. Despite whatever gets reported on Lesnar and UFC, it's not happening until after WrestleMania 34. Lesnar is still said to be locked in for future WWE dates including next year's Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. That said, Lesnar can still conceivably lose at Summerslam, tricking us all into thinking he's done with WWE only to come back around Royal Rumble.

Regardless, the plot thickens by the day. We'll just have to wait until SummerSlam.
