The summer of women's wrestling continues as WWE just took another big step in expanding its female fan base. At the San Diego based Comic-Con, the wrestling conglomerate and Mattel announced they will soon be releasing a line of dolls inspired by the women of WWE.

Here's the official statement:

"Mattel and WWE are launching a girls' product line that features the first-ever fashion dolls of Nikki and Brie Bella, Sasha Banks, Natalya, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Alicia Fox and Eva Marie, to leverage the popularity of WWE's female Superstars and give its sizable girl fan base a new way to connect with their favorite brands."

We are honored to partner with Mattel to provide kids with another way to connect with our incredible female performers who inspire confidence and strength."

Pre-order is available online at Toysrus.com beginning July 24 and exclusively at Toys"R" Us stores nationwide this September. WWE and Mattel share licensing agreement that last's through 2019.

This marks another important tally for women in wrestling this summer. Other benchmark moments like the first ever Women's money in the Banks Ladder Match, women main eventing Monday Night RAW, and the hyper-success of Netflix's GLOW, all contribute to a swelling awareness of women in the sport. The Women's Revolution may finally be upon us.

Women now find themselves an integral part of WWE's product. More so than ever, the ladies in WWE are featured as competitors rather than eye candy. Instead of bra and panties matches, we have been given women's Hell in a Cell Matches. Instead of mud wrestling, WWE's women now compete in ladder matches. Even further, the girls of WWE have become priorities on the card. Gone are the days of 2-minute formality - women are trending towards becoming headliners.
