According to PWInsider, Nikki Bella may be making her return to the WWE ring in time for this year's SummerSlam pay-per-view. There's still no word on who Bella would be facing or if she would be a free agent like her fiancé John Cena, but the Total Divas star is no stranger to WWE's two biggest annual PPV events.
Bella previously returned from an eight-month absence due to injury at last year's SummerSlam event, much to the shock and delight of fans.
We haven't seen Bella in the WWE since her and Cena's in-ring marriage proposal at this year's Wrestlemania 33. While Cena made his return from hiatus, Bella has yet to do so. Thankfully, the reality star posts frequent updates to her and sister Brie's official YouTube channel.
In her latest vlog, posted just two days ago, Bella squashed any speculation that her and Cena's wedding might take place on regularly televised WWE programming, such as SmackDown Live.
Though Bella doesn't see using the wrestling wedding of the century to pop a rating for SmackDown Live, she doesn't exactly rule out the possibility of it going down exactly a year after their proposal, fueling rumors it may take place during the WWE's biggest annual event with her answer:
"As of now, no, but in WWE you never know what is going to happen. If I was to get married in front of the WWE Universe I think I might aim for WrestleMania. New Orleans might be a cool wedding. I guess we'll see."

Bella answered a variety of questions during the video Q&A session, including her reaction to James Ellsworth ruining women’s wrestling history and superstars from the past she would like to hang out with.
As we count down the months to Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans, we'll see if the celebrity wedding transpires as a highlight of that event. Knowing both Cena and Bella, whose lives revolve around the company, a wedding at Wrestlemania isn’t far removed from the realm of possibility.

There’s no denying that Bella is one of the biggest stars in wrestling today. She has mainstream appeal and is often positioned in one of the top spots on almost any wrestling show she appears on. This year’s proposal made waves worldwide, and WWE may just want to capitalize on the momentum with a big wedding segment next year.
For now, Cena is slated to take on Rusev at Battleground in a flag match next Sunday. We'll just have to wait and see if Bella makes her return at SummerSlam, or possibly even sooner.
