They are the most decorated tag team in professional wrestling history. Within the span of twenty years, Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley (real names Mark LoMonaco and Devon Hughes) have been celebrated as 24-time World Tag Team Champions across the biggest wrestling promotions in the world.

And last night they said goodbye to the WWE Universe. For now at least.

During a segment later in the show, the Dudleys came out and addressed the crowd that they have had a great second run with the company and thanked them for so many memories with other great tag teams, notably the Hardys and Edge and Christian. All three were the foundation of the tag team division for a few years, and all six men were made famous by their death-defying stunts at WrestleMania 2000 and WrestleMania X7. WWE even has a pay per view event that is named after a match that those three teams made famous 15 years ago: TLC.

Of course the celebration was cut short on camera with The Club coming out as well as the Shining Stars and making themselves known theDudleys, but after the segment and the fans got to say thank you, Bubba and D-Von returned to the backstage area and the entire Raw roster, including officials and the McMahons, were waiting for them with a standing ovation.

No word yet on what's next for Bubba and D-Von as far as wrestling for any specific company goes, but for now they continue to run their Team 3D Wrestling Academy in Florida. Of course, anything can happen in WWE and you can never really say never.
