Stranger Things' second season drops Oct. 27 on Netflix, and fans are eager to get their hands on any information they can about the sci-fi series' next installment.

Thanks to actor Dacre Montgomery, who joins the cast for Season 2, viewers can be sure of one villain — Montgomery's character, Billy.

"The Duffers wanted to play with me as a human antagonist as opposed to a monster," the 22-year-old told Popculture.com at San Diego Comic-Con in July. "I hope I can be scary enough."

Montgomery was referring to Duffer brothers Matt and Ross, who created and executive produce the show alongside Shawn Levy.

"We're big movie nerds — that's what we wanted to do," Variety reports Matt as describing the genesis of the show. "We started to get into television as it became more cinematic."

The brothers shared that they asked themselves, "what would be the ultimate long movie — Spielberg directing a big, fat Stephen King book. That was the dream, that was the ambition," Ross said.

In addition to Montgomery, Season 2 will see several new faces including Paul Reiser as an authority figure attempting to handle the unfurling chaos and Sadie Sink as a new addition to the show's core group of young friends after moving from California.
