NBC's Chairman has finally opened up about the networks much-maligned decision to cancel Chicago Justice.

Ultimately, it seems that the un-cancellation of Timeless that lead the network to not renew the series.

"It was a hard scheduling week – Timeless went off the schedule because we couldn't find a good place for it and then we brought that back," Robert Greenblatt told Deadline.

"It just became somewhat of a real estate issue and just looking at how many of these Chicago shows we can sustain, we thought they are all good but it seemed like Justice was the most conventional," he continued.

"It was the closest to a Law & Order show, so we thought maybe this is the one we should sacrifice. But it wasn't because the show wasn't good, it was reallybecause a lot of other factors," Greenblatt added.

It was recently announced that Chicago Justice alum Jon Seda is rejoining Chicago P.D., which is where he got his start with the franchise.

Taking to Twitter, Seda wrote, "Though saddened with [Chicago Justice] I'm humbled by all the love from the #OneChicago fans, thank you! Also, many thanks to Dick Wolf & [NBC]."

A couple of months ago, Chicago P.D. alum Sophia Bush chose to exit the series, leaving fans devastated.

Ultimately, it was reported that she chose to leave on her own terms and not because she was forced out by a change in creative direction.

Seda coming back into the fold is making fans from all over giddy with excitement.

"I'm happy to hear you are feeling all the love and outpouring of support for your return to Chicago PD. WE LOVE YOU!" one follower wrote.

"So happy you are coming back to [Chicago PD] [Chicago Justice] was a great show should of gotten another season so happy you will be back on PD!" another said.

While most fans expressed sadness that Justice didn't get another season, they all seem to be very happy that Seda is staying with the franchise.
