Gordon Ramsay is known for his harsh words for contestants on his cooking shows, but the man is also a master chef, proving his skills once again recently when he took his skills to the wild to capture and cook up a Burmese python in Florida.

Ramsay and his son, Jack, joined python hunter Kyle Penniston near the Florida Everglades on July 15 for an episode of the chef's show, The F Word with Gordon Ramsay.

"It was a blast hunting with the Ramsays, and they were very respectful of what we are doing here in the Everglades, fighting these invasive predators to save the ecosystem," Penniston said in a statement, according to Today.

The group caught three Burmese pythons, which the South Florida Water Management District encourages people to hunt as they are an invasive species in the area.

Ramsay also cooked a meal using the reptile using only a portable oven.

"It tasted amazing," Penniston said of the dish. "Gordon is a great person and cook."

It's worth noting that the Florida pythons contain mercury levels more than two and a half times what Florida deems safe in seafood, so it's probably best not to set your heart on trying to recreate Ramsay's meal.

The full meal will be revealed in an upcoming episode of the show, which airs Wednesdays on Fox.
