Kix Brooks has gone Hollywood!

The Brooks & Dunn singer has created Vaquero Entertainment with his son Eric Brooks, William Shockley, Dustin Rikert and John Kuelbs, and the company's first movie, You're Gonna Miss Me, is officially available at Walmart.

Brooks is currently in the middle of a Las Vegas residency at Caesar's Palace with duo partner Ronnie Dunn and Reba McEntire, but that doesn't mean he isn't focused on his other ventures.

"I originally was just going to work in the producer capacity, but they wrote a part in here about crazy Uncle Elmer … and I could not resist," Brooks told the Tennessean.

The film tells the story of a country singer passes and leaves a will that sends his children on a scavenger hunt that leads them to a host of colorful relatives.

"The movie is this adventure that ensues," Brooks said. "It's a pretty fun story."

Brooks is also working on a movie for the Hallmark Channel, which he compared to Reese Witherspoon's classic Sweet Home Alabama.

"She has to make her family lie for her and this and that and gets in a big mess," Brooks said of the film, which is tentatively titled Gone Country and follows a country girl who moved to New York City and told a few fibs about her background.

"It's another coming of life story," he continued. "It's interesting to work with Hallmark because they have their formula and the way they do things. But we have a history of making pretty decent movies for not a lot of money, and they like that."
