Meet the Woman Who Didn't Lose a Single Pound, But 2 Years Later Looks Completely Different
Let me tell you about my Food/diet/nutrition/healthy eating... whatever you want to call it. Most [...]
If you ever find yourself being too hard on yourself for your diet or fitness choices, it's time to listen to some good advice.
Fitness blogger Nikki Reese shared a powerful before-and-after Instagram photo from two years ago to present day. She hasn't lost or gained a single pound, but you can tell her body is much more toned and slimmed down today. The amazing transformation proves that the number on the scale means nothing.
In the post, Reese opened up about her eating habits, saying that while she works out at home most days, she doesn't really follow a healthy meal plan at all.
"I don't follow a plan, I don't count anything (not macros not calories)," she wrote. "I don't try to cut out food groups or stop eating carbs after 5pm.. I dont do intermittent fasting or flexible dieting or even clean eating (anymore, I did for a while in the beginning)."
In fact, she even says that she eats cake more often than not, drinks Prosecco and even eats junk food out of her kids' pantry.
The difference between her now and two years ago, is that two years ago when she'd eat unhealthy foods, she'd let it alter her entire mindset and de-rail her fitness progress (rather than use fitness to balance it out).

"All that yummy food would actually fuel my EXCUSES to quit exercise, to not bother balancing the treats out with nutritious alternatives," she wrote.
Reese's advice is to eat healthy most of the time, but to also eat what you love every so often.
"So balance the food books like the intelligent rational human being your are... eat what you love every now and then And what you NEED more often than not... and on those days when it all goes horribly wrong.. as it inevitably will... just remove your face from the tub of butter... replace the lid and continue on exactly as you were.. motivated, goal orientated and #healthyAF."
You heard the woman! Everything in moderation, people.
