Fitness Star Slammed for Fat Shaming Another Woman at the Gym
One fitness star's recent Instagram is a sad reminder why going to the gym can be intimidating, [...]
Andrews changed her Instagram privacy settings, but not before her post was shared on a women's Facebook support group with the caption: "This is why most people hate going to the gym to try and better themselves."
One body positive blogger Megan Crabbe told the Huffington Post that Andrews' posts were "disgusting."
"I wish people like Diana would realise that tearing someone else down for how they look, won't make you feel any better about yourself," Crabbe said. "All it does is reinforce harmful beauty standards and continues to make women believe that we exist to be in competition with each other for the prize of 'most beautiful'. We don't. There's room for us all and the shaming has to stop."

Andrews offered an apology on Instagram.
"Im writing to express my sincere apologies for my actions. I realised that I was wrong to make this silly joke. It wasn't my intention to body shame, hurt or disrespect anyone. Thank you guys for all your messages and continued support"
Later, she took to Facebook (the post has since been deleted) to say that her post was misinterpreted and she only wanted to point out that the woman was on her phone — but people aren't buying her apology.
Some are calling Andrews a "scumbag" and calling for her to be banned from the gym for body shaming. Others called her apology "fake" and "unacceptable."

#DianaAndrews #Bodyshaming Diana Andrews you should be banned from all gyms for posting those pics and shaming the poor woman online.

Whatever Andrews meant to say in her Instagram post, it's a sad reminder that many people continue to judge women's bodies in unfair ways.
