Celebrities may be 'just like us' in some ways (they have crushes, they love Taco Bell... We're looking at you, Chrissy Teigen) but there are some aspects of their lives we just need to sit back and envy from afar. Topping that list? Their ultra-sculpted, super-fit bodies.
Maybe it's the personal trainers, in-home chefs or the limitless sushi budget at their disposal, but there's a clear difference between what the average person considers "fit" and the art form that some celebs have elevated.
Keep reading to see some of our favorite fit celebs and pick up a few of their secrets for yourself.
We all know that J. Lo can rock a mesh dress like nobody's business, so it's no surprise that she keeps everything tight and toned with intense daily workouts. She's a big believer in the Tracy Anderson Method, according to an interview with Redbook, and she doesn't like to skip her workouts even when she's not feeling it.
But according to Lopez, working out is as much a mental release for her as it is physical. "I am 100 percent convinced that working out is part of what makes me so happy," she told Hello! Magazine. It's not such a surprise when you consider her roots in dance, linking her passion to the physical aspects the art demands.
"Dance has always been a huge part of my life and taking the time to move my body and do something that's so good for me is key to my happiness. And I really believe that when you take care of yourself and work to stay healthy, you're better able to take care of those you love," she says.

Riri recently dropped some incredible pictures of her festival-going getup, and we have still not recovered. The always-on-point fashion rebel stepped out in bedazzled fishnets and showed off her incredible figure, swiftly putting to bed any nasty rumors of supposed weight gain.
Rihanna purportedly has a trainer on-call 24/7 to fit her workouts into her busy schedule, and works with fitness expert Ary Nuñez to sculpt her shape.
In addition to Ary's guidance for abs and core work, Rihanna throws in some workouts with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternack to get a full-body approach. Rihanna's most common workout combines elements of dance and martial arts to really work her core, but her trainers admit they switch things up frequently to keep it interesting for the star.
Cher may be 71 years old, but she's still incredibly fit—maybe more now than ever.
Her speech at the Billboard Awards where the dropped a hint about being able to hold a plank for 5 minutes was the shot heard around the (exercise) world. Though Cher was an early adopter of the fitness craze, creating her own book on staying fit in 1991, she hasn't let up in the years since.
Cher relishes the challenge of a really tough workout, telling Women's Health, "I've killed myself in the gym to have this body. It isn't like I have some amazing secret that nobody else has."
Cher keeps things feeling new and fresh at the gym by trying lots of different workouts, including Wii Tennis and surfing. Whatever she's doing, it's working.
This gorgeous mom/actress/activist is always wowing us, whether with her amazing red-carpet looks, her acting chops or her down-to-earth attitude.
But according to her trainer, it takes a lot of time at the gym to keep this star at sci-fi-worthy levels of fitness. "For a full body workout, I like to do a leg exercise like squats followed by a core exercise like plank pushups (which also hits the triceps) followed by a cardio exercise, which also targets the legs like jumping lunges," trainer Steve Moyer told Shape.
Sure, Alison Brie plays a wrestler on the new Netflix series GLOW, but you didn't think that was all special effects, did you?
Brie trained hard for the role, working out at Rise Nation and eventually working up to 165 lb. deadlifts—a crazy feat for the 5'3'' actress. "She surprised me every day," trainer Jason Walsh told Self about Brie's transformation. "It was awesome. It’s amazing to watch the body change and adapt."
Though Brie wasn't much of a gym rat to begin with, "she was doing over 300 pounds on hip thrusts, and hundreds of pounds on the sled. She would do push-ups with 50 pounds of chains on her back" by the end of her training, Walsh said.
Jessica Biel has proven time and time again that she's a force to be reckoned with in the gym. Whether she's training alongside hubby Justin Timberlake or working out with trainer Jason Walsh (sensing a theme yet?), Biel is always training and toning to maintain her incredible figure.
"We do lots of circuit and strength training, especially for my legs and back, because it's quite weak from years of gymnastics," says Biel of her regular approach to working out. "I concentrate on making everything strong, and you can't do that with just cardio," she insists.
In a recent Reddit AMA, Biel told fans she also uses an online monthly yoga membership (that's only $18/month!) to switch up her routines on-the-go.
Not only is Carrie Underwood an incredible singer, but she keeps her figure in superstar shape, too—so much so that 'Carrie Underwood legs' are becoming a bit of a fitness trend.
The star works with celebrity trainer Erin Oprea to sculpt her legs, alternating between squats, lunges, cherry pickers, skater hops and other burn-inducing leg workouts.
As a mom, Underwood also gets creative to squeeze in a quick workout that doesn't feel too repetitive. For this, she just uses a deck of cards! "I'll assign one exercise to each suit, including one upper body move (like pushups or pull-ups), one lower body move (like weighted squats), one abs move (often using an abs wheel) and one cardio move (like jumping rope). Then I pick one card at a time and do as many reps that are listed on each card until I get through half the deck. Then I'll assign different exercises to each suit, and continue until I finish the deck," she told Cosmopolitan.
