Leah Remini Speaks out Against Tom Cruise, Calls Him 'Diabolical'

Leah Remini is a vigilant and outspoken opponent of Scientology, and now she's taking on its most well-known proponent, Tom Cruise. Remini even goes so far as calling Cruise "diabolical."

According to Fox News, during a Reddit AMA to promote the upcoming second season of Kevin Can Wait, Remini was asked if she thought Cruise was a "good person."

"No! Just going to get straight to it, no! There is a public persona of the guy who looks at you directly in the eye and shakes your hand and hugs you and is an attentive person to you and there's the person behind the mask who is a completely different person," she bluntly responded.

"Someone could say we all have that — what we are to the public and who we are behind the scenes, but the people who are around Tom and work for Tom, not even people who are Scientologists, they will say he is diabolical," she added.

She went on to say, "People who've worked with me will say I can be an a-----e — all actors can be. That is different. He's very similar to David Miscavige, they could be twins."

Just last week Remini spoke frankly about another Hollywood Scientologist who she could potentially run into at this years Emmy Awards.

Speaking about Elizabeth Moss — the lead in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale — Remini said, "Elisabeth Moss believes that she can't talk to me. There's a thing in Scientology called acceptable truth. It means you only say what's acceptable to the public. But she believes that I'm an antisocial personality."

The reason for Remini's belief that Moss will avoid her is because Moss grew up in Scientology and still identifies as a Scientologist. Remini used to be part of the belief system, but left many years ago and has been on a crusade of speaking out against the organization ever since.

"I've spoken out against Scientology. So she isn't allowed to talk to me. And me knowing that, I wouldn't put her in the awkward position," Remini said.

Moss is nominated for an Emmy this year in the Best Actress in a Drama series category for Handmaid's Tale, and Remini is nominated in the Outstanding Informational Series or Special category for A&E's Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.

When asked if she would congratulate Moss on her award if she wins, Remini said, "I would, of course. I don't hold anything against Elisabeth Moss other than she's continuing to support a group that is abusive and destroying families….that's for her to learn — just as I needed to learn it."
