Janet Jackson is back! The 51-year-old singer shared an Instagram photo of tour rehearsals on Monday, giving us a glimpse of her slimmed-down post-baby body.
"Hey u guys. I’m so excited for the State of the World Tour," Jackson wrote on Twitter. "We r in rehearsal mode. See u guys in 1 month!"
Entertainment Tonight reports that Jackson has lost 50 pounds in preparation for her tour by "training, dieting and eating clean" since giving birth to her son Eissa in January.
Jackson postponed her Unbreakable tour in May 2016 when she learned she was pregnant. She has since rescheduled and renamed the tour to State of the World Tour, which kicks off on September 7 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
"Her pregnancy and having a healthy baby were her top priority, so when she canceled her last tour, she knew that she would be making it up to all of her fans once she got on the road again," the source said.
Jackson welcomed son Eissa into the world in January with her then-husband Wissam Al Mana. Four months later, the couple announced that they were separating.
Shortly after the couple's split, Al Manna shared an emotional message directed at Jackson on his website.
"To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend," he wrote. "I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever x."
Shortly afterward, Jackson confirmed the split in a video: "Hey, you guys, it's me, Jan — just in case you don't recognize me, 'cause I have put on quite a few since I had the baby," she said. "But I thank God, I thank God for him, you guys. He is so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby."
"This message was supposed to be about something else, but I'll get to that in a minute. I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second. Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God's hands," Jackson addressed the split.
