Mary Elizabeth Winstead To Star In The Returned

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World's Mary Elizabeth Winstead has landed a lead role on The Returned, the upcoming A&E drama from Lost's Carlton Cuse, Deadline reports.

The ten-episode series focuses on a small town that is turned upside down when several local people who have been long presumed dead suddenly reappear, bringing with them both positive and detrimental consequences. Winstead plays Rowan, the girlfriend of late musician (Mat Vairo) who had a very difficult time getting past his death 10 years ago and now will have to adjust to his return.

Kevin Alejandro, who played Brother Blood on Arrow last season, also stars in the series along with Vairo, Sandrine Holt and Agnes Bruckner.

Winstead, one of the most sought-after talents this pilot season, was briefly considered for a role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and is frequently rumored for comics roles when they come up.
