Terminator: Genesis Begins Production

Skydance Productions have announced the start of filming on Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor's Terminator: Genesis, by way of a "Slates for Sarah" Facebook post. It works as a tease for fans as well as a nod to the Slates for Sarah campaign, a Facebook group that asked Hollywood productions to acknowledge Sarah Elizabeth Jones, who was killed during an accident on the set of Midnight Rider in February. Tributes have sprung up all over Hollywood, including an onscreen "In memoriam" credit during the March 2 episode of AMC's The Walking Dead and the first-ever reveal of TV's John Constantine by way of a behind-the-scenes photo. The caption of the photo on Facebook reads: ::SKYNET preparation routines complete.  ::Initialization sequence complete.  ::Reboot initiating in 03m00s. The film will star Emilia Clarke as Sarah Conner, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese and Jason Clarke (no relation) as Sarah's son John Conner. The film is expected in theaters on July 1, 2015.
