Fantastic Four Reboot Movie

20th Century Fox, presumably unhappy with a mountain of negative buzz around their upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, are considering massive changes that would include replacing director Josh Trank and recasting the film, Bleeding Cool reports. Obviously, it's just a rumor so far. It's a doozy, though, and if true, it could spell major problems for Fox, who are rumored to have only six months remaining to start shooting, lest the rights revert to Marvel and Disney. While the headline claims that Fox is "looking to" change up the production, the article by Bleeding Cool's Rich Johnston claims that "Fox has dumped Fantastic Four director John [sic] Trank and the script by Simon Kinberg and are actively looking for replacements....Oh, yes, and there are now casting issues from the studio too," seemingly suggesting that at least the Trank and Kinberg changes have already happened. At last hearing, Fox is finalizing or had finalized deals with Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic and Jamie Bell as the Thing.  Teller and Jordan had been rumored for months before the full lineup was rolled out, and everyone but Bell has seemingly confirmed their involvement at this point. In late 2012, the rights to Daredevil and related characters (such as Elektra, who starred in her own solo film starring Jennifer Garner) reverted to Disney after Fox failed to get a planned Joe Carnahan-directed film adaptation off the ground before their drop-dead date. Of course, Fantastic Four is rumored to be a high priority for Fox, with an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover movie reportedly being planned down the line.
