MAN OF STEEL

Shortly after John Byrne's The Man of Steel changed Superman's mythology somewhat radically in the comics, a follow-up miniseries set on Krypton gave fans a more thorough understanding of the new status quo for the world Superman came from. Well, apparently some fans have had the same idea for the films and Superman's movie father Russell Crowe seems to suggest that while it's not something he's particularly excited about, he'd be open to such a project if the studio should want it. How does one encourage the studio to want it? Well, here's Comic Book Movie:

Said Crowe on twitter, "A lot of you are asking about a KRYPTON prequel, if that's something you feel strongly about let @Legendary pictures know your thoughts." But Crowe, isn't necessarily campaigning for such a film to be made but he's simply responding to a rather large contingent of fans voicing their desires to the award winning actor. Crowe admitted he's a little tired of getting asked that question but he also stated that if a prequel film was indeed given the green light, "I'd give the tights another go."

Of course, how much it will do to contact Legendary, whose relationship with Warner Bros. is reportedly over and who are looking for a new studio home so may not be part fo any prospective DC Cinematic Universe, is a whole other question...
