The sixth season of HBO's True Blood, based on the popular Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, will be unveiled tonight on the pay-cable network, and last night HBO released a peek at the season's red carpet premiere. "It get crazier and crazier," said series star Stephen Moyer. "Every time you think it's going to be a little bit less intense, it's bigger and crazier than it always was." This year, the show is starting out on shaky ground. The stakes in the story are as high as they've ever been, and they're pretty much the same way off-camera, where former showrunner Alan Ball, responsible for adapting the series from the books, left the series and was replaced by Mark Hudis last summer. By March, Hudis had already exited the role, replaced by Brian Buckner, who has been with the series almost since it began. In the new seasons, Batman Begins and Blade Runner star Rutger Hauer will take on the role of Niall, Sookie's faerie great-grandfather and a key player in the later novels. You can see the video preview below--and for a bonus, we've included all of the other Season Six previews that HBO have released so far. In the second video down, you can see Parks & Recreation star and former Talking Dead guest Retta, who will host a premiere party today from the set of Fangtasia, the show's vampire bar. Tune-in for the True Blood Live Show from the set of Fangtasia at 8:45PM, leading into the True Blood Season 6 premiere at 9PM.
