Earlier this week Sony/Columbia Pictures announced that production was starting on Amazing Spider-Man 2. Columbia Pictures also revealed that the Amazing Spider-Man sequel would film entirely in New York. One massive snow blizzard later, and we bet Columbia Pictures is second-guessing their decision for New York only filming. For the past several days, director Marc Webb has been tweeting out various photos from the set. However, today, Webb tweeted, "Day 5. #lerman #assistantdirector #snowday" along with link to a photo of assistant director Michael Lerman standing around doing nothing. Webb followed it up with a tweet that

simply read, "S-Noooooooooooooooooooo!" Evidently, the Amazing Spider-Man production has been derailed by the massive blizzard hitting the Northeastern United States. There is a Marvel Comics villain named Blizzard, who while technically an Iron Man villain might make a handy addition to the cast about now if Webb wants to get cameras rolling again. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States on May 2, 2014. That's assuming of course that it isn't delayed because of snow.
