S.H.I.E.L.D. Will Not Feature Lizzy Caplan

Lizzy Caplan, the Party Down star who appears in the Marvel Studios short Item 47, out next week as part of the Blu-ray package for Marvel's The Avengers, will reportedly not star in the forthcoming ABC TV series S.H.I.E.L.D. "I can't really," she explained yesterday at the 3, 2, 1... Frankie Goes Boom press junket. "I have my own show so I will not be a regular on the Marvel S.H.I.E.L.D. show. But I'm glad people are so excited about that. I think it's a good idea... Maybe I could do some little thing." Superhero Hype picked up her remarks, and also reminded fans that Maximiliano Hernández, hinted that it's possible we'll see his Agent Jasper Sitwell as a member of the cast. That character appeared in Item 47, as well as Thor and The Avengers, and his IMDb page currently suggests he's in pre-production on S.H.I.E.L.D. as well.
